OK, thought I'd finally get around to posting a growth thread for my tank, which is primarily SPS, but I have some LPS, but I caught the bug for colored sticks last year and have gotten much better with my husbandry skills. All of my SPS I bought from MCF, as Ryan (and Sara) knows, I love to get cheap frags (except the red planet below), mostly because I'm a SPS noob, so less risk, but more reward :)

1) I believe this is a Sunset Monti, got this guy cheap as he was a browned our frag that fell off the frag rack at MCF

Nice growth pictures. Obviously you are doing things right to get nice growth.Nice thing about SPS the bigger they get ,the fastest they will grow.Can't wait for pictures few months.

This is exactly why after the first handful of frag size pieces, and finding out my tank is capable of keeping sps that I have started snagging affordable smaller colonies to stock my tank, no need to wait forever for that tiny frag to grow up, and most times a whole colony is only the cost of 2-4 frags, and already encrusted.
 
#4 looks like a LA Lakers Monti, which is similar to the Blueberry Muffin Monti but not quite the same.

I only do 10% water changes, every 2 weeks, kalk drip and add 15ml iodine once a week and two capfuls (10ml) of Potassion (brightwell) every other day.

I've been doing the Iodine and Potassion dosing for the last few months.

I pretty much feed rod's regular blend once per day, with some selcon soaked in and will add a dash of brightwell's vitamin C (every other day or ).

BTW, switched my lighting up last month, I like it, but I dont love it (maybe too blue, but looks really crisp when the aquasun comes on), but results have been good

Thinking I might want to try one of those KZ purple T5 bulbs instead of 2 rows of the Guisemann Actinic+, just one row of each.
