hi guys I have a few questions


I have the hanna alk tester ...and hanna phosphate tester

it says 101 for alk
and
phos 0.20

what numbers should I look for on a mixed reef ?

Multiply alk by .056 it should be between 7-9

Your Phospahte is a little high you might want to bring that down to 0.0ppm or 0.1ppm- You running any GFO?

I was running gfo .. not I started to loose coral ( lost a killer wellso ) so I belived I had the water too clean

phos should be less than 0.1 alk between 7-9 dkh, not sure what that translates to in ppm

you can see my params in my signature, i update them every time i test

Maybe I worded my response wrong. He takes the number the Hannah meter gives him and multiples it by .056 to give him alk in dkh. His dkh ideally be between 7-9

You alway want to start out using half of the recommened dose then go up from there. I try not to use to much cause sometimes, just like Biopellets it can work too well sometimes. I would run GFO again and use half of whats recommend then move up from there.
