Heater/chiller controller recommendations

My old dual stage Medusa crapped out on me as well as the one I borrowed.
Is a Ranco the way to go, or do I finally break down and buy a real controller?
I really don't need to control anything else, I have my lighting on regular three prong timers that have served me well for years.
Anyone got anything laying around?
