So I have a 150 gallon long that's 6ft by 18" x 28" tall and I bought Ai sol super blues. My question is how can I doubt these on my canopy so I can close the canopy and not have the lights hang from the ceiling? Which would be the best way to mount them also? Should I mount them longways or vertically?

If u have the mount that goes with the lights I would just mount that inside the canopy and then hang as u normally do. Mine are suspended but vertical

I Ended up using 2 flat aluminum bar from home depot and drilled holes and mounted the lights with stainless steel screws so no rust from the salt. I wish I had a better picture when I built it but these are 6 ai sols on a 210 with the same dimensions as yours.

awesome thanks a ton man.. im gonna do the same thing.. my tank is only 18" deep so i should be able to put the lights long ways right? or do i have to put them straight back and forth??

i wanna put them like this: _ _ _ not like this: I I I

or i gues i could put them like yours / / / im not sure which way to do it lol.. everyone said 3 is eneough for my tank i hope they are!

You should be find due to the fact your tank is 18" deep and I'm sure rockwork that isn't up to the top of your tank.

I had 3 in my tank like - - - and was finding I wasn't getting enough light by the front and rear glass due to the rock work being so high and was blocking the light spread. Also I found I did not like the spot light effect due to the gap between the lights and only being 4" above the water so I got 3 more and put them in the /// configuration so there was no possible way for a spot light effect and so the light beams were able to make it all the way to the front and back glass.

Is that T-track? If not is it adjustable? I kind of want to be able to move the lights if I need to, you know what I mean? Where did you get the track at? I went to like 5 stores and no-one has T-track. I have to order it online I guess.. just sucks cause the lights are sitting next to my tank and I can't put them up haha.

The T-tracks are fixed mounted, not adjustable. You can however slide the lights along the track as needed. So, the lights are technically adjustable. Let me know how it goes.

Hey so i finished the install and i did the same thing you did and it looks pretty good!! here is a shot of the tank..

Where did you find the T-tracks? I will be doing the same thing on my 75.
Votts> do you have any more pictures of the way you mounted them?

Yeah I will post them later or tomorrow. I'm not home right now otherwise I would.. stay tuned till tomorrow haha

I forgot to mention I also swapped out the 40* lenses for 70* lenses. You can order them from AI online. Looking good though.
