How to retrieve lost threads from the last 3 months

This has worked for some but not all. Might be worth a shot. Thanks to Boneslock for the idea.

Go to this link

http://cache.nevkontakte.com/#!

Enter the forum's web address and browse like you normal would. There's a chance you will be able to find the thread you are looking for. Copy the thread and start a new thread here.
Hope this helps!

Hey Gunner, sorry for the confusion. It's for those who started a new build thread during the last 3 months. Instead of writing a new build thread, they can go back to the google cache and copy and paste their first post in their build thread (Only if they can access it)

Thanks Mike. I see, however I can't find my build thread. My signature even links to some thread about zoas.

OK, I found mine. It's just missing the last few months. No big deal. Time for some updates i guess.

What I found that worked best;
Start with this link;
http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:http://cache.nevkontakte.com/proxy.html#!go/http://www.chicagoreefs.com/forums/
1)go into each of the topic areas (ex: members reefs, lounge, water chemistry)
2)go through each page of threads until finding the desired thread
3)open the thread using the main link or the hotlink to the last page
4)use the page # links at the top to get to the desired section
5)copy the text out and put into today's CR thread.

A couple hints when going through the cache.
1) don't open the link in a new browser window, this will take you to today's site
2) don't use the hotlinks on the right side to go to recent threads
3) don't use the hotlinks for the latest thread for each topic area
4) be paitent. each page change and even scrolling takes time.

I did find missing data in the member's reef forums from about 12-7-13 to 1-9-14, all those appear to be gone from the cache.
The cache also has lost some of the most recent posts from the last few days.
