LED Color Ratio and Distribution

Hey everyone, as some of you may know, I'm soon going to buy a few of the E-Shine 48x3W lights. I understand they're a bit of a risk, but hey, AMEX has a great return policy... :D

Anyways, I'd just like to hear your thoughts on the numbers of each color I chose, as well as the location of some of the accents before I place an order. Here's what I have:

If you need to know any more of the details, they're all here:

Thanks all!:marchmellow:

I would use two of these, if I do get them. I've seen these fixtures used with great success on places like RC, but I am still a bit nervous about these. Yours is priced similarly, and I imagine it would be easier for you to fix then for China to fix their light!

I have to think about it either way...

I can't put them on other channels, sadly. I can, I just determined, use 90º optics which help out a lot. Each LED is about 2 inches away from the next. At one inch of height, the spread of an LED is two inches (with the 90º optics). That means at two inches, a color, be it red, blue, white, green, or U.V., is fully mixed with all of the LEDs one row/column away. I'm going to have these LEDs 12 inches above the water's surface, which should, based on trig, mean that each LEDs output spans the entire length and width of the fixture, meaning that 36 inches of length of the tank, as well as the entire width, could be covered by one of these lights. I am, however using two, so I THINK that the spread should be fine.

Thanks for the warning though....
