I want to make the jump to LED lights but I am so confused. I could really use some help. I have a 90 gal reef tank 4' front not sure what the other dim are. But the confusion is that now I hear some leds have more watts then others . When I first looked at led lights I thought that they were all the same wattage per bulb. Please someone help me.

think of a LED like a tiny light bulb.
light bulbs can come in a variety of wattages, but on the outside they may look very similar to each other. much like different watt LEDs.
LEDs can vary from 1 watt to a 30 watt multichip led. the widely used LED for aquariums is the 3W cree XP-G, XP-E and XR-E

here is the site i bought my DIY LED kits from, http://reefledlights.com/

I've been doing some research myself and the one thing that keeps coming up is wattage. Everything I read says that you absolutely must have must have 3W, not the 1W's.
