lights??

So setting up my new 210g fish only I want to know which lights you guys recommend ! on my 125g fish only I just have flourescents. Do I really need something fancy for fish only tank ?

If you are only keeping fish I would go with a 2 bulb T5 fixture. That will be enough to grow coraline on your rocks, keep pest algae down, and still have a nice spectrum for your fish to look good.

I would run

ATI Blue+
ATI Purple+

Honestly, and I would NEVER reccomend these for a reef tank, but if all you want to do is shed some light on whats going on in the tank an Odyssea fixture would be just fine. Cheap and gets the job done.

You could probably find a used T5 fixture cheaper though. What is really going to get you are those 80w T5 bulbs. They are pricey.

The spectrum of the bulbs coming with the fixture should be alright though and PAR doesnt really matter in this application.

ask mike at his new store reef city aquatics he said he had a few used things and while there i did see a 2 bulb fixture he had for like 40 or 50 bucks.
