Long transport in progress

I'm currently 2 hrs in to a 6hr drive from MN. While in town I stopped at a LFS and picked up a Black Sailfin Blenny. I'm getting concerned now though. He has filled the bag he is in with excrement. Should I be looking for a place to stop soon or just push on? I'm kicking my self for not asking for another bag with water now. Any advice would be great.

He should be okay. Maybe open the bag and get some oxygen exchange.

Figure when fish are shipped overnight they are in their bags for 12+hrs. As long as they have O2 they usually do okay.

Well I got him home. After about the third hour mark he settled down and so did all the floating pieces. Thanks for help guys. Wasn't looking like a good situation early on, but all should be fine. Now to find a Spiny Star Astraea or two. :)

next time you do that, make sure you let them know about the long transport so they use an ammonia neutralizer. sometimes you don't see the effects of ammonia for awhile, but ammonia burns can occur that can make the fish unhealthy.

I did say I had a long drive so they might of while I was looking around. World of Fish in Richfield,MN. Great LFS.

I'm working on it still. He is very shy! Great colors under my light(white spots on his face), but the sec someone walks into the room he runs and hides. I'll keep trying.

If possible on another transport maybe bring a airstone with you and get one of those converters to plug in the cigerette light. that might buy a few hrs. next time.
