Lowering Potassium ??

More corals?!? No idea besides water changes or perhaps carbon would help a little.

You better change water if too much potassium. Menard's tank crashed because he dosing too much Potassium.

thats a scarey question, like how do i lower my alk or temp. i always think that when questions like that come up its already too late.

Get salt with low potassium and do a 20% water change. I had trouble with potassium with my last batch of reef crystals. It only had 330 ppm of potassium.

I already lost a 1/3rd of my tank with a few more still on the fence, so yeah, it is already too late. I tested K with an Elos kit and was below 300 then added Red Sea Coral Colors B (Potassium and Boron) over a 3 day period based on the required amount to get it to 400. Luckily, I added less than they recommended because the full dose might have melted everything. Didn't take too long after that and most tips burnt and stn couldn't be stopped on many nice acro's. Some acro's were unaffected while others died fast. Some are still receding and still have burnt tips. I tested again with a Red Sea kit and it maxes out at 467...so I'm somewhere over 467...

I ran carbon for a week in hopes it would do something, but all that happened is that the tips burnt worse from the improved clarity. I didn't think there was anything else except wc's but figured it would be worth a shot to ask.

On the bright side, my tank was fully stocked so at least I can start collecting again.......and wait years for them to grow. lol...plus my daughter loves collecting dead coral so at least she's thrilled

Ah that stinks, sorry to hear about that. I am in the same boat from a AEFW outbreak and Nitrate crash, so I feel your pain. Pulling softball size SPS colonies out of your tank is painful. My tank is full stocked again, but my bank account is a little dry. GL rebuilding.
