Struggling as well with drop box. I have to be patient I guess

We pulled the plug on the DIY chateo reactor we had running on our drop-off tank and started using a waterfall algae scrubber like the RAIN2 and algae began growing within a week, but it can take a few to get going. We haven't tested the DROP style ourselves yet but plan to soon on a 40 gallon AIO aquarium.

Tell us more about each of your tanks. We are happy to offer tips. How many hours are you running the algae scrubber? What do your water tests show? How much do you feed? What's in your tanks?

I have tried less hrs , more hrs , even i put a black screen in order to cover the screen and nothing-happened my box still like a brand new ,

Sorry to hear about the trouble. I did some searching online and here is some of the tips I found from other threads and Santa Monica directly.

It is likely you have low available nutrients in the aquarium. First step is thoroughly remove any slimy algae from inside the scrubber with a toothbrush. The slimy type algae prevents the desirable thick mat type algae.

After it is clean, run the light for 16-18 hours per day and run the bubbles for 24 hours per day. After two weeks, remove the shade. After a couple weeks thereafter let us know how it goes!
