Multiple fire fish or not?

Can I keep multiple fire fish of the same species, that is multiple purple fire fish, at the same time? They would be in a 90 gallon tank.

I would yes to 2, but no to 3. I had 3 in my 75 and when 2 of them paired, the male of the pair bullied the other male to death.

I had 2 of them for well over a year together and they were buddy buddy always together, but I would get a screen top as they both jumped about a week apart from each other.

ideally you can keep one male with multiple females (harem) sexing them isint the easiest.

+1 for the screen top, mine both jumped out but it was actually a month apart for me lol.

I have a firefish but I only have one. From the research I have done, it is best to get them both at the same time. That is why I was hesitant to pick up another one.
