My Blue throat trigger was K.O

wow... i was staring at my tank from 10 ft away.. and just saw my blue throat swim insanely fast!!! hit the side glass and landed flat on the sand!

i thought it died... the blow was loud. i am wearing studio headphones and music was playing.. and still heard the fish hit the glass!! (maybe i need to chance new headphones! )

either way.. after 3 min, of wich i thought he was dead, fish started swimming, only to see one of the eyes cracked/collapsed/burst ... i feel bad. i hope he makes it !

has this happened to anyone else.. fish go out cold? from swimming and hitting something?

yea seen em get spooked and do that some make it some dont sometimes internal beeding or spinal damage. internal beeding will kill em but believe it or not fish have the ability to repair spinal so not always deadly but eye poping is not good sign means pressure built up so guessing internal hemmeraging . good luck hope im wrong

it looks like the tusk is picking on him, and they are the same size,
he is swimming fine now but scared, now even the smaller tangs are picking on him, sad cause the trigger is like 5" and used to be the boss...

Perhaps you should isolate him until he's fully recovered.
