So i went to mcf and saw this awesome pleco looking fish.. and i had to buy it.. It acted very similiar to a pleco sticking to the walls and the live rock.. But When i was target feeding my dendros and duncans mysis my clingfish started tot go crzy.. didnt realize these guys mouths were big and that they ate meat.. thought they ate algae.. Was wondering those anybody else here have expierence on these guys.. and would u guys also happen to knw the scientific name..

They are completely reef safe, primarily nocturnal and eat meat. Not much more to it. They are non aggressive and non confrontational. I have one I got from the Xmas party, and stood next to Sara as she pulled the info up on them before bagging one up for me. They will (assumedly) grow fairly large with age (approx 6"), so a nano may not be the best size tank to keep them in.

Btw, scientific name:
Gobiesox Maeandricus
(Northern Clingfish, not Caribbean Clingfish)

MCF sold you a fish with no info on it? That's shady...

Other than that:

Looks like they are your standard eater. flakes, frozen, maybe snails/shrimp.

They live in tidal zones or on the reef stealing pods and small inverts.

Not shady at all.. I saw a cool fish and i took the risk of taking it.. It actually worked out for me :) i get to add a unique fish to my tank :)..

Oh by the way thnks for the info.. I just gotta watch my snails now lol

They gave me some info but i wanted to see if others here had some experience with it and can add more info..

Added info to my last post, the caribbean clingfish is a completely different species from what you show in the pics.
