Need help Water change info.

Ok I'm still new n learning but would like to know what I'm doing wrong? Fairly new thank I set up. The problem that I have is the past few water changes I done I have lost a few of my fish. I do my WC in the morning before I go to work n when I get home they r at the bottom of tank dead. The other fish r fine. They were all eating fine. Test water n no ammonia, no nitrite and nitrate 0.25 ppm no phosphates. I match the salt at 1.025. Thanks for your time.
 
are you mixing and immediately putting water in? are you using tap water? the temperature of the water? Ph of water?
these are biggies that are over looked as well that are not mentioned to much!!
 
Sorry yes temp the same n use ro di no tap water . I mix the salt over night n test first before I do water change. Ph I didn't test. Could that be it?
 
No same salt io reef crystals. I have brs 5 stage ro/di. Oh also it's pretty much new .
 
How big of a water change %.

Here is something most people don't understand. Fish can live in horrible water. But it's the consistency that they need. Any minerals in the water could cause a fish to pass. If ur doing large % try going less water with more frequent changes to help keep things consistent.
 
Can be stress related. Where they established fish? Or newer? If newer, they could have had underlying issues brought out by stress. Or can be totally unrelated to water change
 
Well Rosko23 the tank Is not that old but some where the other where not. Well I'm I'm going with just plain bad luck. One thing is I did buy from the same Lfs. Gonna try a different one. Thanks everyone for your help. I just wanted some advice.
