Looking to get some new t5 bulbs shortly and was wondering what a good combo would be, I have 8 36" bulbs 4 on each side of a 6' long tank and what brand of bulb is best
Thanks

ATI, KZ, Giesemann, and UVL bulbs are all pretty good. What kind of color temp do you usually prefer on your tanks, it will be easier to recommend a combo knowing what you like.

I dont really know I've had the same color temp bulbs since I 1st set up the tank 3 years ago 4 super actic 420nm and 4 aqua sun 10,000k oh ya and 3 150w 10k halides it looks good now but I just wanted to see if I could get the greens and reds to pop a little more

I would toss 2 blue+, 1 purple+ and one GE 6500k daylight in the fixture. This will pop your reds, yellows and greens, and will give you a nice neutral blueish color you should be happy with.

I've been running the following 6x39wt combo in my tank (Front to back)
ATI Blue +
ATI Purple +
ATI Aqua Blue +
ATI Blue +
ATI Aqua Blue +
ATI Blue +
I feel like I'm getting close to a 14K look.

I was just playing around this combo as well but I feel it's too blue for my taste (20K)

Has anyone play around with these?
39W Coral Plus
ATI 39W Coral Plus T5 High-Output Fluorescent bulb combines the properties of a Blue Plus (~50%), Aquablue Special (~40%) and Purple Plus (~10%) producing a bulb with a cool, crisp white color with hints of red and blue. The higher blue component compared to an Aquablue Special produces better fluorescence in capable corals and the red component is excellent for color rendition. Approximate color temperature: 15000K+. Recommended Use: as a stand-alone bulb or in combination with Blue Plus, Purple Plus, True Actinic or other supplemental T5 bulbs.

Thank you,
Brett

Skip the abs and c+ bulbs, buy the KZ NewGen 14000k if you are looking for a good daylight bulb that's not too yellow and not too blue.

What would you suggest for a bulb sequence with the KZ NEwGEN 14000k's?

Or just go with 1 14000k?

@benny, which bulbs are daylight from front to back on your fixture?

Right now I'm running these but open to suggestions. I have a Tek fixture so the front ATI Blue+ and back ATI Blue + come on about 2 hours before the middle four bulbs.
