Protein SKimmers, intank or HOB

I have a 40b that i am just setting up and looking to put a skimmer on, i would perfer just having a intank skimmer so I don't have to worry about an problem and water on the floor, any ideas on skimmers that would be recommended, I am going to be doing LPS, zoas/palys and some mushrooms. I have heard good things about the octopus HOB (cone) as well as the Bubble Magus, but anyone have any suggestions, remember this is not a display tank, it is a grow out tank for a tank that is being custom built currently.
 
Aqua C Remora with a mag5, did a great job with a 45gal DT. It got to the point that I thought it was broken and purchased another mag 5.. LOL!!

That is good to here, especially since i have extra mag 5's lol but glad it worked for a long time.
