Still wondering how to go with my Tanked Tank. It will be my piece of the Indo-Pacific ocean but will take forever to fill.

Was walking through LFS today and my mind was made up for me with the coolest Stars and Stripes puffer that is at least 12 inches long!!!! Absolutely awesome.

It's in a 40-50 gallon tank because they have no other tank to put it in and they are taking offers.

The color is a little faded and the fish is bored so I am sure he is several years old and that they have to get rid of him. They flipped over my tank and I am heading back there tomorrow to discuss price.

I have no idea how much a mature 12" S&S Puffer goes for though. I am waiting on a pm from pufferpunk.....

+1 Jeni...he's gonna eat all your coals and cuc. Be careful buying a fully grown fish, because you don't really know how much longer they're gonna live.

My lfs has a ft long puffer lived with a grouper also quite large until it took the groupers head off

Yup yup that is a super hungry fish ever see him eat lol that alone is why i dont think ill ever get a big puffer again

Wow what great advice.....omg. Asked in a couple of places about value of large puffer but apparently nobody knows...

Herby was in a much larger tank and was brought back to the store cause the peraon couldnt keep him once he grew to his size hes actually close to ft and a half and can eat a pack of silversides without a breath great fish just needs a huge tank of his own til then he makes that 125 look tiny

I have an idea , how about you give me all of your fish , coral and cuc and let's just say he ate them cause that's what's happen anyway! J/k

Amd try and find a big puffer during feeding time its a mess they like to splash at top of water makes a mess if you dont have tops id stay away from a larger puffer if i were u jmo

I have a better idea. Delete this thread. I was looking for intelligent responses, not outright stupidity.

Steve, why don't you just give me everything you have now and let's just say you died and can't use it anymore since that's what's going to happen anyway!!!!!

Yea, your statement isn't funny either.

You idiots can't turn me off the hobby but you certainly turned me off this forum. Most of you are rude, think all of your jokes are funny when they are out of line and distasteful. And let's not forget the disrespect. I was right, this site is just all cliches.

And to the idiot that keeps PMing me for an MP10- I DON'T HAVE ANY FOR SALE DUMMY!! You obviously can't understand when I said it in the email so maybe one of these geniuses here can help you understand what I mean.

Can't believe I was organizing a poker tournament for you bunch of yahoos.

Signing off........go be rude and stupid on someone's other thread.

Your post says a lot but all I see is a bunch of.....:banplease: (word of advice, not an insult towards you by any means)

For someone who seemed to be such an expert on puffer fish giving advice to another member the other day, I would have thought you knew all there was to know about puffers that you wouldn't need help. I'm kinda sad to see you go cause I really wanted to see that tank finished, but if you really hate it here that much, best of luck to you with your reef tank when you are gone.

I actually thought the thread was pretty informative. I hope you see this community in a different light someday Noreen.

I have to agree with the OP. Her first two sentences were doubting having a reef and her direction/goals with her tank. She never asked if the puffer was reef safe. Just the value of it. Blue Zoo puts their 10 inch specimens at $150.

While I believe people were well intentioned in their advice it wasn't what the OP was asking for.
