Reef central gave me a warrning, why?

I received a warning from reef central today claiming I was trying to sell my personal equipment commercially. I did not know that a person with over 1400 posts and ten years on the site selling personal stuff was a violation. I have access to wholesale lists and equipment but never promoted my company as I know this is against the rules. There have been a few people that I sent a pm to that are local trying to help them out. As I know this is a expensive hobby. What gives, are reasons like this why people left? I'm so confused but I did pm the mod back for an answer.

it's probably bc you do have access to wholesale prices. even though you didn't promote it, I think the mods there are very black and white about it all.

I see now why I keep to myself on boards. Regardless of the info or help I have to offer other people on there, I think I'm done with the drama and other then contacting people about parts that I want to buy.

I believe they have somebody here that lets the mods know if somebody is writing smack about them on other forums. Then they punish you for it.

Yup, they troll these boards. Anything slightly negative about them gets you a permaban.
All irrelevant: The amount of posts you have, the amount of stuff you PIF, the amount you contribute to the community, paying for supporting RC.

I got an infraction for "post padding". I asked how so, never got a reply.

Sad part is that they probably don't even get paid to be Marxists.

there's a guy that is a Mod that lives down in Central Illinois, in a small town of Mattoon, I can't recall his name now

I thought there were a couple mods in IL. Something like "snorvich" or something...there's at least a couple. I'd log in to check, oh wait..........I can't :p

I really don't care one way or the other. Its the lack of communication that bothers me. To send a form letter of sorts, is a bad way to manage the site. There needs to be proof of the infraction, like a screen shot, time, date etc... rather then you broke the rules, your out.

Welcome to the group! I posted a link to a mildly questionable video showing a bikini model in the country of Mangrove (yes, it really exists). I jokingly asked if this is where all of our mangroves came from. Not surprisingly, I received a warning. And that was ok, but I had the audacity to ask what rule I had broken, as I could not find anything listed in their member agreement that was in any related to my post.
Permaban.
