RKL ALC storm mode????

I have an RKL with an ALC and two moonlight pods; white and blue.
I was curious how the storm mode functions?
Will it control the pods or just my main lighting?
Does anybody know how to setup the pods to a true lunar cycle?
Will I need the MLC to setup the lunar cycle?

-everything is updated

Finally, does anybody here use white as a moonlight viewing color? I kinda light the low output of these pods. Easier on the eyes for viewing.

Storm mode only turns on and off your main lights randomly.

You will need the MLC to get the "true" lunar cycle.

A mix of iirc 2 white pods to 1 blue pod provide a "natural" moonlight color. If you have 1 of each, you have a slightly bluer than natural coloring, but still much better than all blue... For flourescence of early and late viewing, nothing beats several blue modules.

I have 12 whites and 12 blues for night viewing and it looks great. They are 1 watt each on a 6 foot tank.

Storm mode is for the ai controller only.... :( I have the alc. Only two pods at once. Looks awesome with lower light. Just enough for softies to reach out. I'm very happy with my RKL.

One more thing about the rkl. Some people setup there ato using the on/off function. I chose switch and its working perfect. My RKL failsafes my heaters, controls my ato, sunrise, sunset, and moonlights. My next purchase will be the PH probe. I use a good amount of kalk in my water. My ph doesn't fluctuate too often. 8.3 and usually drops to 7.8 at night. Does anyone use the ORP probe? My fluval g3 already shows me conductivity. Isnt it similar?
