Rod's Rod Buehler was awesome and donated 5 4 packs of their food to the recent meet up.

http://www.chicagoreefs.com/forums/showthread.php?22475-New-Fish-Chicago-Reefs-Meet-Up!!!!

In the sampler pack was Original, Seaweed, Pacific Plankton and Fish Eggs

A few lucky CR reefers won the packs lunacris jayjerk Gunner adubson and Stingray

I personally had never seen two of the blends and after some initial feedings last night the first reviews appear great. The Egg blend could be a good substitute for OVA egg food which can be quite difficult to get.

Let's hear your reviews guys...

i will update when i feed the rest , the pacific plankton is kinda large for my fish but i feed chunks to my carpet nems , and lps and they love it . rods original is always a go to and always in my freezer . the dried seaweed is awesome as well my tangs love it .

My fish n coral have been on rods Herbivore Special for about 1 1/2 month n love it. Its alil messy but a thawed 1" by 1" square never even hits the sand bed before its devoured. I fed a tiny bit of eggs when I got home and everyone including my favias loved em. Tomorrow im going to feed my tomini tang some of the dried red seaweed to see if he eats that since he won't touch the sheets.

Ah man, I missed out on this thing. Didn't see the message until just now.

I new our username/real name was going to eventually cause confusion. He was talking about me.

I fed some eggs last night and the fish did not go crazy for them except my Niger trigger (but he tries to eat my hand). They went crazy for the plankton. I'll try the eggs some more tonight if I can ever leave work.

I found the fish eggs Aquatica over the weekend, feeding them for the first time last night. A few of the fish went nuts! My butterfly, one clown, and trigger all showed noticeably more aggressive feeding trying to grab the eggs swirling in the water column. A few of the other were less than interested like the bicolor blenny.

Overall it's a winner for me. I'll keep it as a supplemental food staple for the fish and onhand in case someone decides to become a picky eater.

Thanks Rod Buehler

It's been awhile, but I finally have some more fish in my tank to feed this food to! Along with my pair of clowns, I have a foxface and a lyretail anthia now. I've been using Rod's Original Reef Blend for the majority of the time, and all of them love it. This says a lot for the anthia, since he seems to be a very picky fish so far. So far, I'm very happy with this blend and will definitely continue to use it once it runs out.

I've only thrown the eggs in once. I didn't get as crazy a response as others have mentioned, but I need to try it out some more.

The foxface has loved the Rod's version nori sheets, as well.

I definitely recommend this stuff to anyone looking to try it out.
