Im instant ocean and have no plans on changing

I've seen this a bunch on many different sites...but I was curious...If you use regular IO, do you have to add anything to it before using it in your reef? I mean
do you have to bump up Mag, Calcium or KH to your water change or just use it straight up? I wasn't sure what the parameters were for IO regular.

I don't dose (only use Kalk via topoff) so I'd love to just use good ole' IO but I don't know if it'd work for me. I only have a few SPS and some LPS
corals right now. FWIW I'm using regular Fritz right now.

I switch back and forth between RC and Tropic Marin Regular depending on budget. Hands down the best salt I've used is Tropic Marin but RC gets the job done when I need it. Now that I have a small tank, Tropic Marin only but back with my big tank, RC made more sense.

Depends. IO is usually low on alk. Calcium isn't bad but isn't there either. If you don't have much demand in CA, ALK, and MAG then IO is fine with regular and consistent water changes alongside kalk/2 part. RC is just a better one stop shop although alk can be through the roof. Wayyyy back I used to do 50/50 IO and RC to get the "perfect" salt lol but now Tropic Marin gets the job done as I have zero SPS now.

Boy that's a dangerous question, so many opinions, it's like asking who is the best super hero in a comic book store. I my self used Tropic Marian pro for years but got to expensive so I tried Fritz for about 6 months and didn't care for it and some corals didn't eather so now I use Red Sea coral pro for about 5 months now and everything seems happy a little less expensive then Tropic Marian but a little more then Fritz but everything is happy so I'm happy. Hope this helps a little. and o Super Man of course

Currently I don't have a reef but when I did. I would just dose kalkwasser through a reactor and then would manual does mag. Otherwise I did not does anything. I never boosted it before I used it. If I did a reef again I would probably still just us Instant Ocean then just use two part or a calcium reactor to add calcium and alk.
