SCA 302 skimmer review

So in doing some research on a new skimmer for my 65, I found the SCA 302 skimmer. This skimmer is very similar to the bubble magnus cone design. After reading numerous great reviews on performance spanning over 1 year on other forums I decided to take a shot with this. The skimmer is rated for 180 gal (not saying that I would put it on one) and cost $130. I have had this running for 2 weeks on my 65 now with amazing performance, lots of dark dark skimmate. This was easy to tune and broke in very quick. It is an in sump model that operates best in 8-10 inches of water.

For the price IMO this is no brainer. I will post continued performance on this skimmer

I just picked up the SCA-303 a week or so ago, and it kicks ***! Definately happy with this skimmer. My previous skimmer doesn't even compare.

Great timing for me! My skimmer has died, so I need a new one, and as I hadn't planned for this, my budget isnt too great. That said, that website has a nice sale on it. What's the difference between the 302 and the 303? Would one of these be sufficient for my 90g (given the ratings, I am guessing yes, but reconfirmation always helps!)?

The 302 would work great on your tank if you have a 10"x10" foot print to work with in your sump.

Wow, well, both sound great for the price, although I don't want to further derail this thread, so I'll start a new one with some questions regarding my specific options!

Keep us posted with some updates along the way Chad!
