SpeedWave DC-10000 Water Pump?

ive been itching to pull the trigger on the 5000 pump with skimmer kit to replace my skimmer pump.
reading along to see if anyone local has some hands on experience

While not the 10000 model, I just installed the DC-3000 on my 90gal as a return pump. First impressions..it's extremely quiet! I always hear of people say "I had to touch the line to see if it was running" and that is exactly what happened even at full speed.

It's fairly small pump in size, fits nice in my 20gal sump where I used to have an Eheim 1260. I've got the pump dialed back to 3 bars and it's running great. The connection is quite long from the control pad to the pump, so it could be mounted quite a ways from the unit.

Granted I've only had it set up for about 3 days, but so far I couldn't be happier with it. If I'd had known about this pump, I would have ordered it instead of my MAG5 to run my AquaC skimmer (and I may still).

Time will tell in terms of reliability etc..

I am picking up the 10000 later today to replace my Eheim 1262.
I will let you know my thoughts on the pump after installing it.

i pulled the trigger on 5000 and using it for return its quiet... . since its dc my controller can ramp it up and down like leds. 20/20 hindsight I wish i would have gotten one size larger since can just run it at a lower percentage to achieve same flow, and the price difference is minimal. longevity is the unknown but pumps arent exactly rocket science, by look and feel its seems pretty solid.
