Tank storage - outdoors

What are people's thoughts on storing a tank outside through this winter season? I have a 180 AGA that is sitting neatly on some 2X4 in my garage and i don't see it comming inside anytime soon. I'm considering just letting it go at a loss and getting some space back from my garage.

if it's empty I would think it's fine I've had a 55 in mine with no cracking or anything like that just maybe cover it up

I'd store it upside down so that it doesn't fill with gross crap and then throw a tarp over it and I'd imagine you'll be fine.

Will the extreme cold mess up the seals?

No, the seals are made of 100% silicone very flexible and resistant to cracks.

I kept my 120gal. in the garage for two winters before setting it up,no problems with seals or anything else.Just make sure no water gets in this tank.
