To much Skimming?

I know there's always the exemption and yes, carbon does absorb copper. I've seen pics of Joes tank and it looks nice, but don't brag about copper being okay in a reef tank. Copper is never okay in a reef tank!

He didnt say put copper in your reef. He said he used copper in his tank kept the rock and sand and now its an sps reef tank. Or he tried to say this.

Everyone should know copper kills coral.

My 90 used to be a fowlr and I dosed copper several times. Kept the rock and the sand too, but I only had about 25 lbs of rock at that time. I ran a couple pounds of carbon before adding inverts and corals and ran it for several months before adding my first snails & coral. Copper is found in nature in very small amounts.

Can you skim to much, I was alway told you can never have a big enough protein skimmer. I am having a hard time keeping my coaral going, can it be to much skimming and uv? Iam I taking out to much out of the water?

Now back on topic :becky:
