I just finished treating my tank for redbugs, which I brought back from the Bloomington show, and I used Interceptor. Well, if you know anything about the medication, you know that it's used as a preventative for dogs against heartworms. The reason that it requires a prescription is that it's lethal to the dog if it has a heartworm: it's a preventative, not a cure.
Anyways, I was lazy grinding the whole tablet up, so a few flakes of it didn't dissolve straight away. Well, my two Bartlett's Anthias decided that they were hungry, and they both ate a small flake of the tablet. This was last night. They're dead now.
If you're going to use interceptor, you'd better be sure that the pellet is FULLY dissolved in water, or you're going to loose any fish that decides that it wants a snack.
On the bright side, my tank is once again pest FREE!!!
