Water temp question

What temperature does everyone keep their reefs? Do different types of coral do best at certain temperatures? Any other reasons to manipulate temperature in our reefs?
 
doing a simple "search" on the forum will yield tons of threads from the past with a lot of good info. consistency/gradually swings are whats key -I think it would be far to say that 76-82 is easily acceptable. But not that entire range in one day.

Agreed stability is key, I keep mine at 78
 
I just raised from 78 to 80. The sps lps and zoas/palys look better I think, except my big Kenya tree looks kind of limp...
