What should you expect from a rusting magnet in your tank?

Wondering if this could have anything to do with all my acans going from thriving to fading???

It's really hard to say. Some magnets have trace heavy metals in them; copper for example. With so many parrts of things being sourced from china, there really isn't a traceable way to know. It'd cost a ton to get a magnet analized to find out. Running GAC may be the only thing to try and pull out anything harmful.
