I have a 75 reef ready. I turned of the return and that is the only pump in the tank and it is running at 18v of a possible 24

Ok Fellows, I will be placing an order for MP40. Please let me know who is interested. I's say the price per pump would be anywhere between $90 - $95 Shipped to Chicago Land area.
I need a count on how many of you are interested. I will be taking 4 pumps. We have till the end of the week to place an order. I can start a new thread for the Group buy. The more we get the cheaper the price.

These things are cool and all and i got to see one in action and in person and they are huge. They do psh a lot of water and make a wave but we compared 2mp10s on a 75 directly after testing the wp-40 and i was more impressed with the mp's. It looks like a jet tubefrom a wave runner lol. There are 2 other reefers on here that witnessed it.

For the price they are nice and make the famous wave but it still doesn't compare.

Troof! I wuz there. Two MP10 in a 75g was far better flow patterns and much nicer undertow flow on the sandbed than the WP40. The WP pushed tons of water at the surface but only in a straight line out the pump, while the mp10s did a crazy job of stirring up detritus we didn't even expect to see. Great pump for the price but definitely no replacement for a vortech.

Just another thing to add. The biggest reason i hated my koralias was i always had a problem keeping sand in certain areas no matter how i faced my phs. When we did a comparison the wp40 kicked up sand like the koralias and with the mps no issues. By far the biggest reason i got the mps lol.

Not trying to start a debate again, just stating a opinion on the comparison we did on the exact same tank.

Aren't the WP40's meant for larger/deeper tanks? 75 gallon doesn't sound like a good test subject. I had 1 koralia that stirred up sand in our 40b, no matter where it was angled. Now, we have 2 of those koralias in a 90, and the sand bed doesn't move. Just food for thought.

The other point is you are comparing two 300.00 pumps to one 85.00 pump. I'm just happy to be able to get some random flow and really push some water in my budget.

I'm comparing an mp10 which is considered for nano tanks. I consider a 75 a decently large tank. If i was comparing the mp40 then yeah. But I'm saying that 2 smaller pumps were better then one larger pump. There is a big difference between a 40b and a 75. Not that big of a difference from a 75 to a 90.

Joe stop hating :D You are in shock as this pump can create a better wave than your two small MP10's....lol!!!

Also this pump at 1st picked up some much detritus that I was shocked.. Now the MP10's did pick up some detritus but what pump doesn't when it creates an undertow  I seen this pump pick up detritus on a 8ft gal tank....now that was crazy!!!

Seeingthat the wp completely starts and stops to create a wave, how long until they start spinning backwards? Lol

OK guys,
Finally I get the light sensor working and I love this pump more and more every day. At night my SPS seem happy and sleep well with a soft silence flow.
The only thing I hope it last longer for us.
I sold all my 2 x MP40 and never look back. I keep 3 tunze 6055 in case this Chinese Pump is fell. I think I should compare this pump to Tunze 6105 or 6205 because the shape are identical (not the MP40 or MP10). For the size like that I should not compare to the MP10. If it broke then I will go for Tunze 6095.
I don't have soft corals in my tank but I do have some nice milli and they are seem happy with wave (Else Mod).

$98 shipped to Chicago, it's really good price to try it out. Come over see my tank and the WP40.

Happy reefing.
MD
