I think it looks good.

If you really want some inspiration, theres a "minimalist aquascaping" thread over on reef central. You will know its the right thread. I thinks its like 70 something pages lol!

Just try to leave space between the rocks and the glass, and visualize where your flow will be reduced.

Aside from that, have fun with it. Dont rush your scape.

Very nice so far, love to see picture of the whole set up with your Hydra installed. Aquascape looks very interesting too, but if I can make a little suggestion, I would remove the island in left front corner on second picture, it would open up the whole design and would be a great place to put a clam or two instead.

Great looking setup, can't wait to see more pictures! Is the tank 36x24x24? I would love to get my hands on one.

Some pics of the scape yay or nay? This sure ain't easy lol
As long as your happy with it, but I think you can do better. Those branch looking pieces of rock like the one you used for the arc. They look a little awkward to me like out of place. Maybe it is because you have like 3 different types of rock?

Well the setup has been finalized all piping has been glued and been put in place the apex and AI light controller are hooked up rocks scape is pretty finalized sand was added along with 35% of the water... Hoping to begin the cycle around noon tomorrow the ro unit is running hard making water downstairs.

I think it's time for some corals and a fish it's been up and running 30 days roughly with dr Tim's as well. Added a good sterile piece of live rock last Saturday to really seed the dead stuff and cleaned this slimy film off the glass tonight before going to the ER with the GF. Thinking a clown from booyah or green chromis or cardinal

first off ER? what happened there? second according to the dr. tims website, you needed to put fish in immediately after adding the dr tims or the bacteria has nothing to feed off of and dies in a week or so. Nut the fact you waited a month and have added a piece of live rock a week ago, you should be ok. I would just say don't over do it too fast with fish. Only add 1 or 2 at a time so the system can build itself up. Also remember that catching a fish is WAY harder when the tank is full so don't put in anything you don't plan to keep

ive been following up on your tank build up and i have to say it looks amazing so far even with out the fish n corals. i see your a hands on person as well. keep up the good work and keep posting.

I'm loving the set up. When you are ready and want some zoas let me know I have a small selection (unless you are doing strictly sps) and would love to come by and see the tank in person and the great thing is you are like 7 minutes from me.

Any time and I have a lot of zoas to share from my 29 if you wanna help me frag some I have all the supply's to just don't know how lol. I got distracted this weekend and played golf. No fish yet but my green chromis from the 29 may make the switch over tomorrow. He should be friendly enough to get along with everything for ever in there
