Colonial hydroids

I have some extremely small clear colonial hydroids that are starting to kill the bases of my sps. does anyone know a way to get rid of them? I have been trying to spot kill them by covering them in super glue but they have now spread from their single location to one other one. and since they are so small, there is a chance they could be elsewhere with out my knowing it. I am looking for some kind of chemical to kill them. I have researched a horse tranquilizer that some have used to get rid of these things. does anyone have any experience with getting rid of these things? this is what they look like View attachment 2052

I have/had the same ones when I restarted my tank a few months ago. I used a toothbrush to get rid of those I could reach and the rest went away on their own. I don't believe they are colonial hydroids, those are the nasty ones that are larger and a more pronounced stem. Since there are hundreds of hydroids out there it is hard to say which ones these are exactly. One thing I did read in my research on these is not to feed any fine coral foods as they will feed off them. I still have a few remaining in the tank, but the large wave of thousands of these went away on their own.

ya i only have a few but they are killing the bases of two of my sps mini colonies. so you just suggest scrubbing them off? inside or outside the tank?
