Can anyone help me with getting my sl1 to link rkl ? I bought it used been trying everything to get it to work my computer finds it but will not update to the head unit
Thanks

do you have a link cable to your PC? if so load myreef 2.0 and make sure software is up to date.

Remember all the probes are inputs so you look at the SL1 and setup probes as inputs

Try changing order of modules, I have SL1 as first module then my PC4s a hub and finally a SL2V2.

Change cables too, they are not just phone cables and just one phone cable will mess it all up (nice of them to make cables custom)

Try one PC4, head unit and sl1 swap cables, it will go, keep at it

quick trick with DA, if they don't pick up the tech help line, call back and choose sales. They are small company, all phones are go to just one or two people. The email works very well depending on your needs.

You might need to turn back the clock and use the previous software when updating that particular SL1 head unit. It's not a faulty head unit or cables, it just doesnt like the new software. Try using previous software instead of the updated version.

I don't even know where to start with all that keeps saying something about firmware

Tom

Exactly. The firmware that you need for your SL1 to work would be the previous firmware. For some reason when you did the update it didn't like the new one. So what you want to do is first download the older version or use the backup if you have a backup. Than under SL1 firmware just copy and paste over to the updated version. I may not make any sense right now and believe me I am no IT i just have been in your shoes before. DA was great about walking me through step by step. I sent them an Email and within the same day I got a response from them. Ask them to do a phone walk through or send you very detailed email instructions. I hope that at least this gets you prepared on what to expect when talking t o them. Wish I had my emails saved if not I would forward it to you but it's been deleted. It may seem difficult but it's not at all.
