90g mixed reef..75%SPS...need lighting help

Whats up fellas,

So i have a 90g reef thats been running for about a year and a half..Decent portion of it came from a 40 breeder prior that was running for a year. Ive been running 3 ebay black box units for the past year and have had pretty significant success with them., including sps... All other equipment is high end (bought full system used and came with the black box units).Recently the blues on one unit went out..I already wanted to upgrade lighting and this just sped along the process...the cheapest option would be to just get another black box unit from ebay for $100 and call it a day, but im thinking i want to upgrade to something better...I was looking at the 300w maxspect razor, but not sure i want to spend $900 on new lighting seeing that ultimately in the next few years im going to build a much larger tank and probably wouldnt use the 48 inch razor...

Any lighting suggestions for me? i was hoping to be around $500-600....I also wanted to stay with led... what other options are out there, even if they are around the same price range as the razor...just trying to see what is available before i make such a large purchase
 
You probably just have one diode out in your black box. If that is the case, you could fix it for $1.50. Just bridge each diode with a piece of wire until the channel lights up. Then replace that diode.
 
I've used the Oceanrevive T-247 fixtures and was a big fan. The only reason I stopped was because I got a great deal on a Halide setup and wanted to give radiums a try.

I also currently use a kessil on my frag tank and would highly recommend those as well. Great light, good growth, and puts off a shimmer much like halides

I'm going to try Kessil's too--hey Spartan----have them hooked up to Apex ?

i have a 360we for sale :) but strongly advice against using a single kessil ( oh yea i love their color) but for sps you need more than one ..
