Kalk stirrer placement

I have a 40g reservoir of rodi water in my basement for ATO that's pumped up to the first floor with a Spectrapure UPLC II peristaltic pump. I've been adding kalk to that reservoir for about a year. I wanted to add a kalk stirrer to see if I could get more consistency from the kalk. I don't have room for the stirrer near the sump so the only place I can put it in line is where the ATO reservoir is in the basement. Anyone have experience with either pushing or pulling water through a stirrer that is not located next to the sump? It seems that the stirrer designs are for the water to overflow from the stirrer chamber into the sump.

I didn't have room for my kalk stirrer near my sump either so I put it inside the sump.........

Unfortunately, no room inside the sump either.

The problem is getting water from the reservoir to the stirrer. Without a siphon there's no way to trigger the water draw into the stirrer, unless a probe went into the stirrer triggering a pump from the reservoir. I was hoping there could be a siphon.

I have the Avast K1 also and I don't think that you can do what you want to do with that model as it is a non-pressurized chamber. I would contact Avast and ask them......they have great customer service and might have a creative "fix" for you.

Yup, I have the K1 and have been speaking with Justin and Dan there. No creative fix other than what I mentioned.
