Maybe the browser is out of date on the old one

Have you been able to access the apex with port forwarding? While your on your wifi and outside of the house?
Theres 3 ways to access the apex. 1st is from the headunit. Second is from your browsers while logged on to your network by accessing the 80 port. 3rd is the easiest wich is the fusion "cloud" dashboard which is still accessed on the 80port either wired or wirelessly.
So
1 headunit
2 classic dashboard using a browser and 80 port.
3 fusion dashboard cloud service
At this moment im actually trying to make mine wireless with a gamenet dongle. But thats not so easy. I was accessing the fusion dashboard wired. But cant install this dongle yet.
Well eventually make it work
EDIT. guess youre much farther than i am. The cool part is when those guys order the orange amazon fire tablet and turn it into a touch screen controller. Thats swagg
Mine does that sometimes. I just restart my apex and it reconnects. With the new heartbeat feature that's all I ever have to do. If I lose the connection for whatever reason I just restart apex and everything is goodNew apex question so i was installing a ceiling fan in spare room and had to run all the wiring so had to shut power off . Well my reef keeper came back online no issues but apex didnt reconnect to and it is hard wired is this a common issue or what

I should add that the issue is not only is it going offline but the channels that were set to auto didnt turn back on when was suposse to. The channels that were set to on how ever did turn back on. So it concerns me that during a power outage even with my back up generater that some important channels like my cal reactor will not work as they should . If that makes more sense .
Sounds like you may need a firmware update...
FALLBACK (ON or OFF) code dictates what happens to each outlet (set to Auto) when the brain loses power.
My primary "power outage" issue is the net router reboots slower than the Apex, so the Apex can't reconnect and won't retry. A UPS on the router addresses this...
I'd encourage setting up some fake outages to debug....sucks being on the road and having a nagging feeling "the whole thing could crash and there is nothing I can do about it"![]()

Wait is fall back suposse to be on or off when on auto
Depends on the outlet.
For example, I have my return pump is FALLBACK = ON and my ATO is FALLBACK = OFF.
So would you just plug the eb8 that's connected to the brain into the battery backup? Or how would you hook it up?Uninterrupted power supply (aka battery backup).
