Sounds sweet I run 2 of the Hydra 52HD's over my 65 gallon and they are awesome. for your size tank you may need a third or supplement with T5.

I am glad to hear the 2 Hydras are good because they are costly. I wanted to try to get top notch everything to make my reef thrive. I figure as long as I great equipment + Chicago Reefers Knowledge Base, I should be ok since I only have been in the hobby for 19 mos. I started with a 125 gallon and a canister filter (Fluval FX6) sold it i still have my 65 acrylic tank which will go into my wife's office. The 150 will be my main display. One its up and running. I Plan on taking my time with everything. I gotta admit I am very excited though.

Looks good. But, 20lbs of sand? Barebottom or typo?
As for water movement what are you going with? Will this be a controlled system?

My issue now. Is hard plumbing my "new used system"
With a high gph return pump id suggest a manifold to run other equiptment.

Have you considered if or to run UV/reactors a manifold on that pump would be usefull.
What drains are you going with? What came on the tank?
Have you looked at dursos/herbie/hybrids?

Will this be fish only? Reef?

Lol I was copying them items line for line from my invoice from brs. I actually have 80 pounds of live sand coming. Brs says I should have 1pound of sand for every 2 gallons. I also have 160 pounds of live rock. I only have 3 wave makers they are Jebao PP8. The wave makers are the only thing I am uncertain about.

I plan on having 30x the system size so around 4500 gph this is coming from my return and wave makers combined
I will use the Durso drain because I am familiar with it. I also use ciphon holes in my pvc so in case power failure my sump won't flood.
I am a fan pvc so I hard plumb. I have no plans for uv right now. I am trying to keep it simple. The good thing about the tank is that it came with plumbing
For the inside tank part. I will modify for the durso drain and plumb from tank to sump

Durso drains have always been super loud for me. Did the last couple tanks with herbie drains and that's all I'll do anymore with a pre-drilled tanks. You should look into the herbies

Herbie seems complicated. Durso was very quiet on my 65

The Deezill Reef is up and running. I will put up some pics later. The water is somewhat cloudy. I guess because of the sand. I will be putting some of my live rock in the fuge so some bacteria
will help the settle more. Thanks foreverone following the post I plan on putting up a lot of pics because well I love looking at reef tanks. lol. Cya soon.

ok guys you all have seen what the tank looks like empty let me show you what it looks like filled with water and 160 pounds of rock and 140 pounds of live sand. Well I also have live rock from my old tank in my sump. Please keep in mind I am not a photographer but I will get better lighting in the room so that the pictures will come out better here is a look at what I have so far.
I am just letting the tank cycle. I am only tunring on Hydra 52 HD for pics during cycle they are off. Well I do get excited sometime and turn them on and run everything at 1 percent except reds and green.
