Lights

Here is where I am currently. Can never get the blue to look right with the iPhone.

I looked at your lights. I don’t see why you couldn’t grow anything you’d want under them.

Are those horseshoe crabs in your tank?
 
No crabs? I keep the whites at 60%. Blues at 50%. Need a PAR meter I think.

This may be your problem. Try putting your blues at something like 70-80% and your whites at 30-40%. Corals like the blue spectrum.

A few years ago, I tried some lights that had way too many white diodes and not enough blues. My coral looked terrible.
 
Do whatever you want, but I don’t think your current lights are your problem. I think you have them set incorrectly. Almost nobody runs more white than blue. Visually, a little white washes out a lot of blue.

If you want new lights because you want new lights, then buy them. If you just want to grow coral, adjust your current lights.
