Great job bro.. tank looks great :)

My only suggestion is maybe put a cover over the overflow box to prevent fish from jumping in there.. imo

How far is the over flow line ran down into that 3in tube?
About 4 inches. Maybe less. It is just barely under the water line. And the tube is filled with rock rubble too.

Thanks man. Yeah. I am for sure gonna have to get a top for it. There is too much light in it too.

The tank is chugging along. The temp is running about 4 degrees higher than I want it. Could be cuz the AC sucks. I need to put the window unit in. Anyway, things are growing and I finally got my ATO semi-installed today. It is not the permanent setup, but it will work until I can get the fancy stuff.

FTS first.

Some feather dusters.

The sump. The fuge should be drilled, painted and installed tomorrow afternoon if I can get the PVC fittings I need.

The ATO water reservoir. A 2.5 gallon baby water jug. It is gonna work great.

Just used airline tubing cuz I didn't have any 1/4" tubing and can't get it until I get paid again any way. It was a little lose in the float valve so I took a part of a "T" connector and shoved it in the end. Fits nice and snug now.

Made the bracket out of eggcrate cuz I didn't want the float to be attached the the tank itself. Works like a charm though. Watch for more tomorrow.

Hahaha...yeah, that too. I see you're in beverly, have you ever been to animal krackers on 115th and kedzie? Not the best lfs, but they're decent and local.

Great idea on the ATO ;)
Thanks. It is nice and simple. I will eventually get some 1/4" tubing and a couple of fittings, but for the most part that is just to make it look a little better than it does.

Yep. That is actually where I found both of the light fixtures for this tank. 50 bucks each. I avoid buying their live animals though. I have had too many issues with them in the past.

Yeah, they don't have the best livestock, or the low prices to match that crap sometimes. They can't afford to be too pricey.

That is true. I got my leopard gecko from them. They said he had a shedding issue and gave him to us at a discount cuz he didn't go to the vet when he was supposed to. He lost a leg, but is happy and healthy now. I do get some dry goods from them, but nothing alive after that. I would rather deal with a store further out that has better stuff.
