10 Gallon Hex Lighting Help

I had set up a 10 gallon hex tank about 2-3 months ago, and I am always in need of more light. I currently have this: http://www.aquavibrant.com/lighting...ray-ii-ultra-slim-led-db-10000k-actinics.html. It is supposed to have a decent ability to penetrate deep down, but I'm really looking for something else to add to the tank due to how deep it is (18") compared to how wide it is (12"). If you guys know of any sort of 12" light fixtures that I may be able to add to my tank to get my corals really growing then it would be much appreciated. Thanks for any help!

Would I be fine cutting a hole in my hood and covering it with plexi to allow the light to shine through? And would you be able to provide me a link to one that would get the job done best as far as coral growth and penetration is concerned? Thanks

EDIT: How about these bulbs? http://www.coralcompulsion.com/led Are there any better prices around for the same quality bulbs?

I recommend the Coral Compulsion bulbs. You could run a topless tank and not go thru the trouble of cutting. I use the Par 38s from CC for a 75g.

What upp Craig, glad to see you joined CR :)

Like i said in my text, I dont really know my par30/38 bulbs but im sure everyone here can assist ya.

Highly recommend CoralCompulsion - Jimmy is a great guy - might even send him a message, im sure he could give you an informed opinion in regards to your set up.

Sounds good with me, and everyone has been so helpful here ever since I joined.I'm just trying to get this par30 situation figured out so that I can be finished with lighting once and for all, but no big rush.

Get the par 38 from jimmy ... He will tell you what optics you need and the light is fantastic .... I have one and I can send ya all kinds if pics.

Jimmy runs Coral Compulsion out of his condo. And you're in luck he lives in Four Lakes so he's pretty close to you.
