So I went with the cycle in a bottle method that I picked up in Madison.
I'd like to buy a fish to add to the tank tomorrow, probably a demsel or firefish depending on price difference/availability.

I'm in the north side of Chicago, any recommendations on fish store options?

Everyone is going to have their preferred lfs so I'd encourage you to take a weekend and visit a few of them. Me personally, I like AP, Seven Sea, and Sho tanks but I believe that ownership has changed hands over there.

I know it's a little bit out of your way, but I really like Aqua Pros in Glen Ellyn. They are extremely reasonably priced, best I've ever seen. If you go make sure you use the back door
