14g new tank set-up

Hello, i am setting up my first saltwater tank and looking to get some ideas on how to do it. So far i have an aqua-clear power filter, heater, dead rock, and standard 14g tank... What sand should i use, i plan on getting r/o water and mixing salt myself.. Also what lighting is best for the money and what are some stocking recommendations.. Thanks

Par 30 or 38 bulbs are good
+1 on the par38. Get a hanging can light from home depot, put a hook in the ceiling above the tank, outlet timer for on/off and your set.

Coral compulsion, one of the sponsors on here, is great place to buy them.

That is a lot of fish for 14g!
Especially, 3 yellow tail damsels. Jim, did the LFS that sold all three of those to you know they would all be housed together in a 14 gallon tank? If so, I would advise you not to buy anything there again, or at the very least, don't trust any advice they give you. I would try and catch 2 of them and return them.

They are good people there, i did confront one of the guys there about it and they said they thought it was another tank... Dont ask how they thought that.
