180 fish list

Do you guys think this is ok for a 180?


Purple Tang
Yellow Tang
2 Fire fish
3 Lyretail Anthias
Dusky Wrasse
Yellow Wrasse
Blue Throat Trigger
 
I think you may have trouble with a yellow and purple tang in one tank. I'm thinking they look too much alike to get along, but maybe others have successfully done it. I probably would not try it, though, if it were me.

I have also heard that 2 firefish, unless a mated pair will not get along.

I can't comment much on the others, but if you are planning on keeping corals, I'm not sure the yellow wrasse and the trigger are considered reef safe, but neither are my angels that I keep in my reef tank. If you are going FOWLR, then they should be fine.
Nice list of fish, though, with lots more real estate for more.
 
My 180 will be a reef, its been up for 5 months so far I think. I lost most of my fish due to velvet. :( The only fish that lived was the Dusky Wrasse.

Purple and yellow should be fine together as long as u get them small and put them in at the same time.

I've had a purple and yellow together for 4 years now and they are just fine. But then again I might of

just got lucky. 1st pic is from 4 years ago when I 1st got them and 2nd is from today. I also had 2 firefish

together for over a year but that too also could of just been luck.
