24G "build" thread

I wanted to upgrade the 10G I had in the bedroom. The stand was made for a cube tank so I found a 24G that fit well and so the upgrade began and ended on the same day.

JBL 24G

Circulation - MJ 900 return pump and MJ 600 w/ Hydor Deflector.
Lighting - 36W (?) Par38 from Coral compulsion; lighting to be upgraded soon.
No sump.
Top offs are manual; I hooked up the water pump to a switch on the back of the stand.

I used LS (bagged) combined with a few cups of my old sand. I didn't add more LR but I did use bottled bacteria, the BioMax and filter floss from my HOB filter to eliminate/minimize any cycling. I'm not sure if I'll use anything in the back chambers of the tank yet.

I have a generic black box LED on a tank in my crawlspace that I'll use. That tank is a temporary home for a fellow member's livestock until he gets back up and running in his new house.

I was wondering where you came up with the fish and corals so quickly.

They were in the 10G; I just needed more sand space for corals.
