2nd pump for ASM G-2 Pooped Out

:mmph: 1st Sedra pump came used with the tank/skimmer. Now this one I bought new about 4 years ago has stopped working. Anyone else having issues with these pumps? :a33:

Anyone know the cheapest place to get a replacement or a better pump to buy?
 
the sedras are supposed to be really good pumps. maybe try to find a mag3, that was my back up pump for my g1x I had
 
Mine pooped out too. I believe the problem is usually the impeller, an not the whole pump. I replaced my impeller only and it worked fine. You can get the impeller for about $30.

Take the impeller out and roll it around in your fingers. If that is the problem, it will feel kinda lumpy an it won't be perfectly round. Good luck.
 
I've had to hand'start the impeller for the past several months, especially if I turn it off for feeding & then turn it back on. Now I can't even start it by hand. The magnet does have some scrapes in it but can easily turn by hand--just won't keep turning when I plug it in. As a matter of fact, when I plug it in, it flips the breaker.

I found a new one on Amazon for $79.
