I recently purchased a old 55 gallon tank and made my own sump. Pretty easy if u have patients. I started by buying fish friendly silicone then went to the hardware store and bought some light plexiglass. I then used tape to mark where I would put dividers and bio with bubble trap. Hardest part is cutting the glass. I found a place that would cut me tge sizea I needed of real glass but thought that could be a waste if the silicone broke leaving glass everywhere. I also bought the white crate stuff from home depot and made two seperate areas for my drains for tons of bio balls. Its been about 8 months and it still holds. Just alot of weight under the tank stand.
