Acan and Blasto question?

Where do you guys put your acans and blastos in your tanks? I was told they like medium to high lighting and flow, but have been reading some info that says the acans like low lighting and flow. I have a 28g b nano-cube. Kinda new to coral so just looking for some advice. Don't really want to kill them. Thanks in advance.

Mine haven't needed much flow and light is an "it depends"....as you may have strong or weak lighting.

General rule is start with less(on sand) and move them up to see how they react. Bleaching is a clear sign of "too much light". My Blastos have not needed as much light as my Acans...so I put the Blastos on the sand and the Acans 6"up.

In general, if they look happy, leave them be :top:

I have leds on my tank and all acans/blastos on the sand bed or bottom third. My tank is 30" deep. Both prefer low to medium indirect flow in my tanks.

Bottom of my tank in indirect laminar, low to medium flow. Plenty of steady detritus on the current to feed on in a slow enough current to catch it. Some prefer to be shaded under a ledge, others full light at the bottom of my 21" deep tank.

Spot on with mines as well. Mostly shaded and protected from high flow. If in higher flow, which i do have one, i spot feed when I turn off my pumps.
