I have a small acan frag. colors are strong on them. but the underneath of one of them is disappearing away.

calc 400
mag 1375
alk 9.8

I did place it a little higher in the tank. anyone know what it might be?

And your alk is high should be around 8
 
What kind of lighting do you have?

Maybe move it so its getting direct and indirect moderate to lowish light, so bottom third of the tank.
 
I had an Acan that I lost because I was giving it to much light. When I got another frag I put it at the bottom of the tank and its not really under direct light.
it still get light but not as much as my Xenia or hammers. Now this one is doing fine. I learned that it did not like as much light as I was giving it. Not to mention I know LED lights tend to be strong.
 
I moved it lower and it's recovering. I find that not every artical you read is correct. I've been maintaining a little lower alk as well.
