AI Sol's or EcoTech Radion??

Either way your looking at extra $ for dimming, and honestly the AI are still an overall nicer quality product to the Apollo (not hating on Apollo, just being objective) the advantage to Apollo is INSANE par values for the dollar.

Radion is built in and wireless control.

It's an insane blade of light. The par drops off FAST with the 70* optics and the penetration drops off FAST with the 40*.

How far AWL do you have to keep the Radions cause under the canopy I only have 6 inches.

No argument there, but even off center at 12" below water 650+ par is still a lot to deal with not being able to dim the fixture.

6" is perfect for a 90g (and the lowest you can go). The 135* optics allow low hanging with great coverage. If all you have is 6" the SOL won't work for you anyway.

Yep, that is their biggest flaw. You then have to dim it to get that ~400 PAR in the center and lose it all in the rest of the tank.
 
Well there you go. AI won't work, Apollo don't dim... Gotta get the Radion lights while you can still get that illegal price on them.
 
You could always place the order, and if they don't honor the price you can just cancel the order and walk away.

I'm not familiar with the profilux, but to date the only controller company that has shown a demo interfacing with the radion is the reef angel. If the profilux communicates with vortech pumps it will communicate with the radion (same rf module as the pumps) as soon as the controller company create the program.
