Aiptaisa Laser???

I have two now, I ordered both from China. First one I am convinced is not the power claimed, they pull back but no sizzle. Second one came yesterday and did not come with batteries, should have them wednesday from Amazon. I'll post a thread if they work.

I've got a 1.2W blue one but have never had aiptasia to test it on. I have tried cooking many other things with it but most have too much mass for a laser to be effective on.
 
I have a 3 watt blue laser that makes the snap crackle pop noise when I hit them with it. Unfortunately it will not kill your aptaisa, from the smoldering hunk of goo left regrows the aptaisa. I find its best use is to make surgical strikes with it on aptaisa that are stinging your corals. In a perfect world the aptaisa would take up residence on a flat rock with no where to hide where you could hit them again and again with the laser. I believe that would kill them but they don't want to play the flat rock no where to hide game. For $15 you could use aptaisa x (it doesn't kill aptaisa either) as a surgical strike alternative. The surgical strikes will keep an aptasia down for a week or so while it regrows. For $200 you get a real cool focusing laser that can light a book of matches from across the room plus the therapeutic benefits of reducing your enemy (the aptaisa) to a hunk of goo even though it regrows. 3 watt!!? Now that's some fun. Thanks for sharing your experience with such a high power laser and similar results.

Beyond lighting matches across a room, outdoors at night (with proper precautions) is a blast with these too. It the right conditions the beam almost looks like a never ending light saber.
